Our Mother of Good Counsel, Guide us!

This blog is dedicated on the Augustinian feast of Our Mother of Good Counsel, April 26, 2007. I pray that the deposit of wisdom, the house of the Word, show and example to me how to house and nurture the Wisdom of God in the Word in this blogging ministry.

I pray that our leaders find the wisdom to help build a world of communal values rather than individual interests. The very survival of our planet may depend on it. I hope that by reflecting on Augustinian values of Gospel living our small part of the Body of Christ may be of service to others.

Welcome to the blogosphere Fr. Joseph! Woohoo!

I have truly found it to be a place of both fruitful ministry and ongoing personal transformation and pray that it is the same for you.

All blessings of Holy Wisdom and Her creating, redeeming and sanctifying love be upon you and this blog now and forever! And the intercession of the Mother of Good Counsel, your Holy Father Augustine, my patroness St. Gertrud, and all holy men and women--especially the mystics and writers--bless and guide you as well. Amen, Alleluia!

his is a "heart-y" hello from yet another "restless heart", John (the Augustinian from freeland). That the world should become a place of peace and safety, ought to be our prayer. And that reminds me of what our Father, Augustine said: "Prayer is NOT the reverberation of sound, but the ARTICULATION of LOVE". So, if we are praying for a better world, it will come about by articulating LOVE in every facet of life and with one another.

Thank you Mother Laura and Father John. So true, John that Augustine knew the human heart. Love begins to spread one ACT at a time. Prayer is empty if the heart's yearnings can not find expression here and now.
